The customer wanted to convert 2 existing commercial units into one and create a new, larger unit for an Aldi store:

• 2x Electric Disconnections
• 1x New Electric Supply
• Gas Disconnections

ABOUT THE PROJECT

As is often the case with our projects, this seemed like a straightforward commercial conversion but ended up ensuring we drew on every second of experience we had.

A gas main which didn’t show up on any plans could have held up the job by up to 10 weeks. We used our close working relationship with the gas network to deal with the issue in 4 weeks and ensure that the project was finished on time and within budget.

The water aspect of the job could have caused issues due to the complexity of the surrounding pipework but we were able to work with several service providers to deliver the required alteration work significantly under budget.
